Multiplying numbers less than working base

Multiplying Numbers Less Than The Working Base Using Nikhilum Sutra: In this method we take a common base such that both the numbers are less than the base. Such type of Techniques of Vedic Maths help us to perform calculations in a much faster way.  Mastering such type of techniques is very essential in Competitive Exams where time is very precious

For example let us take 1186 and 1192

Step 1: As both the numbers are less than 1200, so we will take the base as 1200.

let the base be 1200

1186       -14

1192       -8

Step 2: Now, multiply -14 with -8, we get 112.

Step 3: Now, add diagonally 1186 with -8 or 1192 with -14, We will get 1178

Step 4: Multiplying with the base 1200 and add 112.

Thus, answer is 1413712
